Drifter in the rain.

Drifter

"Drifter" by Stacey Geyer

One more week is gone- one more page is turned;
I am on the run, there is no return.

Life is just like that- nothing’s ever lost;
Makes you go ahead, move from coast to coast.

Drifter in the rain- this is who I am;
There is no more pain, no one to condemn.

Empty, pale heart- this is all I get;
I cannot restart, I cannot forget.

I can’t turn away; I am on the run;
And this rainy day only just begun.

Unknown.

Bluebirds of happiness

"Bluebirds of happiness" by Stacey Geyer

When birds soar toward the sun,
And no feather left behind,
Unknown journey has begun,
The spring is near- they remind.

Again you want to take a breath,
Inhale with the lungs of life,
Put all your nagging fears to rest,
Just leave behind all your strife.

Takeoff! Ascent toward the sky,
Leave the determined world, escape!
Forget to wave at it goodbye,
Forget its simple, round shape.

You are a bird now, unrestrained,
Don’t shed a tear for your past,
Stay weightless, you are now content,
Stay in the moment, make it last.

Still Searching.

Purple Maze

"Purple Maze" by Stacey Geyer

Unfamiliar faces,

Roads that lead nowhere,
Like the birds in the cages,
We are so unaware.

On this marvelous planet,
Life should be so pure,
People take it for granted,
People feel insecure.

We hold on to each other,
Like the leaves in bad weather,
Like a child to his mother,
We feel better together.

When the sun goes down,
We hide deep in our spaces,
Tired, lonely, rundown,
The truth hurts our faces.

We look deep in the mirror,
Try to find the reason,
And get rid of the fear-
World is nothing but prison.

Wisdom is not for the weak,
Those who try to prevail,
Those who play hide-and-seek-
Will not rise, they will fail.

Don’t be afraid of the truth,
That there’s no answer to why,
But those who search will not lose,
And those who pray will not die.

Merry Christmas!

If I met the Santa Claus,
I would really get surprised,
I would tell him who I was,
Maybe ask for something nice.

We would talk and look at stars,
Tell each other funny jokes,
Wave at children in the cars,
Say hello to friendly folks.

Dear Santa, how I wish,
I had faith that you will come,
But I know it’s childish,
Merry Christmas everyone!

Love Song.

Love Song

"Love Song" by Stacey Geyer

Lonely world with lonely people,
Dusty roads and hazy air,
It’s so hard to find your equal,
You look here; you look there.

Humming with the noisy planet,
We move steady down the river,
We know better not to plan it,
Life is nothing but a glimmer.

Just breathe in and then let go,
Be the one to sing along,
I will make it dreamy, slow,
So it lasts forever long.

Silence.

Magical Forest

"Magical Forest" by Stacey Geyer

Words are lazy now, they are just a myth.
I don’t know how, I can take them with.

Are they here to stay? Will I set them free?
Will they run away? Should I let them be?

There’s a fancy fish swimming in a lake.
You should make a wish for your own sake.

Day is passing by; there’s a shining star,
In the dusky sky, glowing from afar-

Moonlight serenade- music of the night,
I am not afraid; it will be all-right.

Forget me not.

September Rose
“September Rose” by Stacey Geyer

Forget me not like those flowers,
Inside the garden of your life,
This place forever will be ours,
In here memories are rife.

I wrote a letter everyday,
Then burned them all and scattered ashes,
Too many words for me to say,
They rush with tears through my lashes.

I then release them with the gust,
Which shooting stars forsake behind,
They will get buried with the dust,
So they will never get defined.

Contemplation.

In the depth of the dark,
I travel deep inside,
Toward the moonlight’s arc,
The crescent is my guide.

Awake, inside my psyche,
Where grass is always green,
There’s nothing to dislike,
And nothing’s unforeseen.

Who knows what I’ll find,
Inside my own muse,
Below my conscious mind,
Within this senseless fuse.

Are you just in my dreams?

"Are you just in my dreams?"

"Are you just in my dreams?" by Stacey Geyer

Are you just in my dreams?
Inside my restless mind?
It’s never what it seems,
The world is so unkind.

My thoughts are sifting through,
My mind’s weary eye,
I know dreams come true,
But this could be a lie.

I’m here in this world,
Emotionally blind,
My soul is getting old,
What will I leave behind?

I dream about you,
My fantasy unfazed,
I know dreams come true,
Or is it just a phrase?

Desert Flower.

Desert Flower

"Desert Flower" by Stacey Geyer

Solitude is my immortal friend,
Our wandering souls gathering,
Will you meet me at the desert’s end?
Follow the arrows with feathering.

I’m just another desert flower,
I am irregular and ghostly,
A keeper of the righteous power,
Misjudged, mistreated, hated mostly.

My petals ruffled by a blizzard,
I still inhale and exhale,
A prodigy that can’t be scissored,
In breathless sand I’ll leave a trail.
